Breast reduction with our surgeon Mr Navid Jallali has taken a weight off Jade’s mind and body after losing three-stone through dieting, which left her with large, sagging breasts that she hated.

Jade says she is an entirely different person after her breast reduction procedure. “This surgery has made several differences to my life. The most important being my mental health and confidence. I feel confident with my breasts and don’t feel ashamed of them anymore or hide them away.”

Before surgery, she was unhappy with the way her body looked and had learned to live with hating her breasts.

Jade says: “My main reasons for the procedure were cosmetic. My breasts didn’t look like a 28-year-old’s should. They were very saggy; the skin was loose, and they just looked awful. I had lost lots of weight, and now they didn’t go with my body. Buying clothes two or three sizes bigger than my actual size to fit my breasts and underwear and swimwear shopping were horrendous as nothing ever fitted correctly.”

Why Jade went ahead with breast reduction

After two or three years of thinking about the procedure, Jade saw a video on YouTube from a client of Mr Jallali. She researched further and decided to go ahead.

“I spoke with Mr Jallali and just knew I wanted him to carry out my procedure,” she says. “I’ll never forget him saying in our face-to-face consultation – ‘you will always want to go topless’. I loved his confidence, and his experience in the field speaks for itself. I felt confident in Mr Jallali and trusted him. The whole process was lovely, and I am glad I didn’t go anywhere else.”

Jade felt that she could ask a million questions, and his team would always get back to her.

Jade says she’d experience it all again!

Although she was nervous on the day and being on her own due to Covid, Jade says the procedure happened so quickly that she didn’t have time to sit and think about it.

“I would love to do it again, as I had a great time (which everyone finds strange). But everyone was so polite, kind and made me feel at ease,” she says. “The team in theatre sense anxiousness. They ease you out of that feeling by making you feel comfortable and taking your mind off what was going on, having a joke, and chatting to you.

Breast reduction recovery is better than expected

Although Jade expected to be bed-bound, unable to shower, and in much pain, the opposite was true. She had barely any pain and only took the strong painkillers prescribed for two days.

Jade says: “I could walk and move around with ease, just being careful with my arm movements. But what shocked me the most was that I could shower the next day.”

Jade recommends her surgeon and says that he and his team are “second to none.”

Boost to mental health and confidence

Jade no longer feels ashamed of her breasts or hides them away.

“I have never felt any confidence when it comes to my body, but I am so pleased with the size and shape of my breasts now and don’t hide them away in front of my partner or baggy tops going out anymore.

“Being able to buy underwear easily is amazing! Knowing that my cup size will fit my clothing and swimwear, too. I don’t have to buy tops two or three sizes bigger to accommodate my breasts.

“I would come back if I wanted another surgical procedure in the future. This surgery has been life-changing, and my life has changed positively so much in the last year. I honestly am a completely different person from who I was a year ago. I wish I did it years ago!”
